A year ago, SWINGRIP was a glove that I had designed, to allow me to play golf again. Then it became the focus of one of my MBA courses. This week my partner and I launched a company called SWINGRIP that manufactures, markets and sells an adaptive golf glove that will allow others, with compromised grip strength, to play golf.
Not one to do things by halves, we decided to launch our business by getting a booth, in the innovation section, of the PGA trade show. We were on the same trade floor as the big names, Callaway, Ping, Taylor Made, to name a few. Walking around was a little surreal! Thank you to the UIA for the opportunity, feedback, guidance and support!
Thank you to all my cheerleaders along the way and especially to my partner Lorelei, who had enough faith in me and the glove to jump on board this crazy ride!
We have only just begun and have many golfers yet to help but for today I am taking the moment to savour how far we have come, to be proud of what I have personally accomplished to get here, and to share gratitude for all those who have supported us along the way!
Living our dream, one golf swing at a time!
