SWINGRIP is an easy-to-use adaptive golf glove that secures the golfer’s hand to their club, ensuring a consistent grip on the club throughout their swing. It is lightweight, portable and requires no adaptation to the clubs.
Studies show that as high as 25% of the adult population has weak or intermediate grip strength and that the percentages increase to over 50% after age 60. While a weak grip strength is likely to preclude a person’s ability to golf without an adaptive device, an intermediate grip would significantly impact a golfer’s ability to play consistently.
An inability to maintain a consistent grip on a golf club results in the club turning in the golfers’ hand, during the swing. If the club turns in the golfer’s hand, during the swing, the club face will not strike the ball cleanly, causing the ball to go in an unintended direction. This results in frustration for the golfer, embarrassment and ultimately, a higher-than-desired score.
